A new look and a new system, in a single project
Pool safety: what changes for hospitality properties
Since 8 August 2026, article 4-bis of Italian Law no. 142 of 4 August 2026 has been in force. Pools open to the public or for shared use, such as those at hotels, B&Bs, agriturismi and campsites, must have a recirculation system that prevents suction entrapment, meaning bathers being drawn towards the suction points. If the system does not comply, the pool faces immediate closure until it is brought up to standard.
The technical reference is standard UNI EN 13451-3:2025, in force since 10 July 2025, which sets the safety requirements for water inlet and outlet components in public swimming pools.
Pulse Lagoon: no inlet jets, with anti-entrapment floor outlets
With patented Sorgiva technology, filtered water rises evenly across the entire pool surface, with no inlet jets. The floor outlets are anti-entrapment, with no visible grilles, and the technical system is installed to code. On completion, a certificate of conformity for the plant room is issued.
The information on this page is for guidance only and does not constitute legal advice. The compliance of each system must be checked by a qualified technician. Sources: Gazzetta Ufficiale (Italian Official Journal) no. 182 of 7 August 2026 · UNI EN 13451-3:2025
